Job summary
Electrical Engineer II will apply their professional and technical expertise to designing electrical engineering concepts and options that align with the owners vision for each project.
Responsibilities
- Determine the scope of assigned projects and utilize software programs to create the electrical system designs including lighting power distribution emergency generation systems fire alarm security or other electrical systems. ,
- Determine cost effective system layouts quantitiessizes and specifications and verify code compliance of the system designs ,
- Preparation and layout of BIM drawings and coordination with all other disciplines at all phases of project production including schematic design phase design development phase permitting phase and construction documents phase ,
- Perform construction administration tasks including but not limited to site observations shop drawing review preparation of punch lists Define appropriate project scope ensure it is accurately reflected in the contract documents Proactively manage any possible scope of work variances to ensure client satisfaction that projects stay on track Maintains excellent business relationships communication with clients partners architects owners other design construction professionals various code officials regarding overall engineering project associated assignments action items Support mentoring more inexperienced electrical designers Miscellaneous duties as assigned
