Description

Specific responsibilities include definition, documentation, prototyping, testing and debugging, qualification, and release to production of reliable and cost effective electronic solutionsEvaluate and optimize product concepts for function (e.g., fit, function, interference, etc.), manufacturability, packaging and material handlingGenerate product prototypes, perform product testing and ensure that products function properly, meet specifications, and timing objectivesDevelop and evaluate cost analysis for new and modified product concepts from design through production launch to maximize product value.
Assist in the process of bringing the product to mass productionWork on special projects as assigned such as evaluating competitive product, new processes and technologiesProvides Technical support in solving electronic product quality problems with existing productsImprove the electronics development process, in order to guarantee the quality, improve the time-to-market and increase the efficiencyResponsible to meet electrical safety compliance requirements (FDA, CE, UL, NEC, FCC and others) and coordinate product compliance testingWork on selection and standardization of key componentsResponsible for managing the resources that maintain engineering documentation such as bills of material, procedures and other types of engineering documentation in DCDMajor design areas include supplies, batteries, printed circuit boards, embedded systems, AC and DC motors, ESD and EMI suppression, and other analog and digital circuit designHelp to choose which electronics activities should be built-up internally and which can be subcontracted, according to criteria like cost, quality, lead time and knowledge buildupManage internal testing resources and ensure the quality of testing and reportingEvaluates electrical systems, product, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of electricity and materialsConfirms system's and components' capabilities by designing testing methods; testing propertiesMaintains product database by writing computer programs; entering data Requirements History of working independently and as a member of a team under time and resource constraints is requiredExperience indicating strong planning/organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to manage projects, multi-task and set prioritiesEvidence of strong technical problem solving skills and the ability to develop solutions for a smooth workflow in a fast paced product development environmentEffective interpersonal skills, especially communications, exhibiting ability to express ideas precisely, persuasively and effectivelyAbility to specify, evaluate and select appropriate electrical/electronic componentsHave experience working in a design team interfacing with customers, suppliers, and technical resources outside the companyBe familiar with firmware/hardware interactions and compliance issuesWork Experience/Education:4-5 years experience working in an electrical engineering roleBachelor's degree in electrical engineering requiredGreat Benefits:
