Position Overview
We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Leasing Consultant to serve as the primary driver of leasing efforts for a brand-new, full lease-up community. This role is responsible for managing the leasing process from first contact through move-in, conducting tours, processing applications, and securing lease agreements. The Leasing Consultant plays a vital role in maintaining strong occupancy levels while delivering a professional and welcoming experience to prospective and current residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for leasing inquiries and prospects
- Conduct property tours and present available units in a professional and engaging manner
- Manage the full leasing lifecycle, including applications, screenings, approvals, and lease execution
- Follow up with prospects to support leasing goals and maximize occupancy
- Maintain accurate and organized leasing and prospect records
- Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries via phone, email, and in person
- Assist with move-ins and ensure a positive onboarding experience for new residents
- Support marketing efforts, including social media posts and community outreach
- Collaborate with the Community Manager and Assistant Property Manager during lease-up
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and company policies
Qualifications
- Previous leasing, sales, or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to meet leasing and occupancy goals
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple prospects at once
- Comfortable using office software and property management systems
- Professional, reliable, and customer-focused
Additional Requirements
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background screening, including criminal history, employment verification, and drug screening
- Commitment to Fair Housing compliance
- Flexibility to work Saturdays as required
