    About the Role

    We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the charge in our day-to-day accounting functions. We are looking for someone with a successful track record as trusted counsel to executive leadership and management teams and has direct experience working side-by-side with our Accounting team. An ideal candidate will have strong day-to-day execution experience with monthly closing operations, cash management, payables, fixed assets, and auditing. This position offers a unique opportunity to be a key player in a fast-paced and innovative fintech startup.

    Responsibilities
    • Oversee day-to-day accounting control operations, including treasury management, policy & procedure, project evaluation, financial modeling, financial reporting, auditing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
    • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain data integrity.
    • Manage the external audit process, collaborating with auditors to provide necessary documentation and ensuring a smooth audit.
    • Lead the budgeting and forecasting accounting processes, providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.
    • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
    • Manage cash flow and treasury functions, optimizing liquidity and overseeing relationships with financial institutions.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance and support for various business initiatives.
    • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure the company's financial practices remain current and compliant.
    Qualifications and Requirements
    • Must have advanced knowledge in QuickBooks, or Carta.
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation preferred.
    • Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or in a similar financial leadership role, with 5+ years of relevant experience.
    • Financial reporting experience ideally from a public accounting firm.
    • Must have strong treasury management, consolidations, fixed asset experience, and financial package experience.
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
    • Experience in a fintech or startup environment is highly desirable.
    • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to contribute to the company's overall financial strategy.
    • Solid experience with capitalization, IPO, and M&A strongly preferred.
    • Prior auditing experience a plus.
    Compensation

    The salary range for this position is $110k-$140k+ (depending on experience).
