    JOB SUMMARY: The restaurant is seeking a career minded, passionate and motivated Assistant Manager to join in opening an exciting new venture in the Hamptons hospitality world. We are looking for someone who can provide friendly, knowledgeable and professional management level hospitality support, along with a desire to place the guest experience at the forefront of each encounter. Extensive food, wine and beverage knowledge are critical components for successful management team members.



    This position will be responsible for tasks including scheduling, beverage purchasing & inventory, daily financial reporting & management, hiring and training of all line level positions, managing and driving service standards at high volume, and developing guest relations.

    The Assistant Manager will oversee and support service and supervise operations and all hourly front of house team members to ensure the restaurant standards, policies and procedures are met within operation standards. Proactively communicates and reports to the Operations Manager and other members of the team to share and convey information regarding the restaurant ensuring there are no surprises. Engages, entertains and inspires all who visit the restaurant.

    Who we are: Please join the team of the newest restaurant to arrive in Montauk for the Summer of 2024. The restaurant will be a new and exciting concept taking over the renowned Cyril's space on the Napeague stretch. An intimate space focused on outdoor seating with a relaxed atmosphere, this new venue will provide the Hamptons with a fun and casual dining experience this summer. Directed by Managing Partner Vanessa Price with a menu helmed by Mavericks Montauks Executive Chef Jeremy Blutstein, the restaurant will offer a vibrant play on the classic Hamptons' summer cuisine.



    What you'll do:

    • Perform proper execution of opening and closing procedures, pre and post service duties
    • Assists Operations manager with pre-shift meetings if overlap, running pre-shift meetings in their absence.
    • Monitor service to guests in all areas of the restaurant
    • Ensure team members' adherence to service standards
    • Support in hiring team members' decisions and issue progressive disciplinary action, including termination
    • Communicate with kitchen to update them of service issues (i.e., pace of service, VIP tables)
    • Managing hourly employee scheduling
    • Review reservation sheet and seating plan and react to any special requests or VIPs
    • Prepare daily briefing sheet to notate program revisions and highlights
    • Inspect dining room before service
    • Maintain supply inventory including linen, china, glass and silverware.
    • Maintain the phone coverage standards
    • Ensure that service is technically proficient.
    • Recover guest complaints and opportunities with positive outcome
    • Handles guest correspondence as necessary
