Additional PreferencesEligible candidates must have a master's in counseling, Social Work, or another related mental health field and must have a clinical license LMHC, LCAC, LMFT, or LCSW.This position will be working as a full time outpatient counselor within Westfield Washington Schools, most likely working in Westfield Elementary School. - Conduct patient diagnostic assessments and establish therapy treatment goals. Administer individual therapy. Maintain thorough and confidential records of observations. Evaluate progress and effectiveness of therapy interventions. Provide students and families with information on needed resources and therapeutic support in the community. Consult & collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team including behavioral health technicians, school social workers, nurses, prescribers, teachers, team leaders, and other peer counselors to provide a holistic model of care focused on functional outcomes for students and families. Work directly with the student, parent, family, and community providers as needed to support active and collaborative care. Due to the reimbursement model, services provided are determined by the focus and need of the patient and the diagnostic determination of the licensed counselor.

Education:
Eligible candidates should have a preferred 2 years of experience providing mental health therapy including specific experience working with youth patients.
The licensed counselor will provide behavioral health assessment and mental health services to students in a school-based setting.The licensed counselor also will work collaboratively with behavioral skills specialists, school social workers, nurses, and prescribers to provide a holistic model of care to Carmel students.
Due to contracted support by the school district, ample time is built into our counselor's schedule for administrative time, parent outreach, documentation, professional development, etc.
40 hours per week, flexible within school location hours.This is a year round school-based position.
