    IT Endpoint Analyst

    We are seeking forward-thinking professionals to join our team of specialized endpoint administrators and engineers, working continuously on improving the end user experience for Pinellas County affiliates, departments and organizations.

    From troubleshooting technical issues to implementing cutting-edge solutions, you'll be a on a team ensuring seamless operations and elevating user experiences to new heights.

    The Endpoint Analyst is knowledgeable on the usage and support of a collection of Microsoft endpoint system administrative technologies such as Entra ID/Azure, Intune, Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) tools, System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365, Active Directory (AD), Azure Active Directory (AAD), and Group Policies (GPO's).


    What Would You Do?Implement and administer device management policies and configurations using Microsoft Intune, SCCM, Active Directory, and Group Policy to ensure devices are securely and efficiently managed across the organization.

    Design, deploy, and maintain software catalogs, quality & feature updates, and user/device policies using Microsoft Intune and SCCM.Proactively monitor, detect, and provide incident response to security threats using endpoint security solutions and threat detection, safeguarding desktops and endpoints from malware, viruses, and other cyber threats.

    Support virtual desktop environments and DaaS platforms such as VMware Horizon, Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365, and AWS Workspace.

    Provide technical support and troubleshooting for desktop-related issues, including hardware, software, network, and operating system problems.
    Automate repetitive tasks and streamline processes using PowerShell scripting and automation tools.
    Writing, developing, and administering Group Policies (GPO's) in an Active Directory environment.
    Collaborate with IT teams to integrate desktop infrastructure with other systems and services, ensuring seamless operation and compatibility.
    Create and maintain documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), system configurations, and technical guides.
    Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to desktop management and support.
    What Do You Need To Have?

    Education -

    degree in information technology, computer science, computer technology, or related field.

    Experience - Microsoft Intune:Deploying & Managing device configurations, policy, and compliance settings.
    Enrollment methods, such as Azure AD join, Hybrid Azure AD join, and Autopilot.
    Application management including app deployment, updating and removals.
    Understanding of conditional access policies, compliance policies, and App Protection Policies.


    Microsoft SCCM:
    Deploying, configuring, and maintaining SCCM infrastructure for software distribution, patch management, and operating system deployment.
    Ability to create and customize SCCM packages, applications, and task sequences to automate deployment tasks.

    Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR):
    In-depth knowledge of endpoint security concepts and principles, including threat detection, prevention, and response.
    Experience in deploying and configuring security tools to protect endpoints from malware, ransomware, and other security threats.
    Ability to analyze security alerts and incidents generated by EDR tools, investigating and responding to potential threats.

    Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) & Virtual Desktop:

    Design, deployment, and management of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions such as Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365 or VMware Horizon.

    Provisioning and configuration of virtual machines (VMs), host pools, images, and session hosts for desktop virtualization.

    Management of user access and permissions in VDI environments, including role-based access control (RBAC) and integration with identity management systems.

    Adequate knowledge of Scripting Languages (e.g., PowerShell preferred)Adequate knowledge of Active Directory and Group PolicyAdequate knowledge of common desktop applications and productivity suitesAdequate knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNAdequate knowledge of incident and change management processes and tools (ServiceNow preferred)6 years of experience as described above.

    Associate degree as described above and 4 years of experience as described above.
    Bachelor's degree as described above and 2 years of experience as described above.
    An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.

    Additional Requirements


    • Must successfully obtain and maintain Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Level - CJIS Security & Awareness Certification.
    Must maintain flexible availability and a willingness to work any schedule including providing after-hours support as needed.
    Assignment to work a variety of work schedules including compulsory work periods in special, emergency, and/or disaster situations.
