    Position Overview:

    This role leads teams responsible for engineering, installing, and maintaining advanced solutions to complex challenges shaping the future of compute and cloud platforms. The position involves team leadership, collaboration with product development, and strategic guidance to ensure long-term success. Additionally, it entails the development and implementation of business strategies, policies, and procedures, along with collaboration across departments to prioritize projects and incidents. Evaluating outcomes and implementing efficiency-enhancing solutions are also key responsibilities.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead the development and implementation of business strategies, policies, and procedures.
    • Collaborate with various departments to prioritize projects and incidents.
    • Evaluate outcomes to gauge organizational objectives achievement and recommend/implement solutions.
    • Manage project deliverables, installations/upgrades, maintenance, and repairs.
    • Mentor team members, provide technical guidance, and ensure long-term success.
    • Ensure timely resolution of escalated/transferred issues and directly assigned incidents.
    • Prepare and interpret reports on incident/project resolution times and effectiveness.
    • Stay updated on emerging trends and industry practices.
    • Guide development and ensure compliance with IT standards, policies, and guidelines.

    Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    • Strong knowledge of compute platforms, including on-premises, PaaS, and cloud technologies.
    • Experience with computer and networking equipment, multitasking, problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
    • Expertise in server hardware/software, enterprise storage, cloud services, containers, firewalls, VPNs, LAN, MAN, WAN, TCP/IP protocols, routers, switches, gateways.
    • Proficiency in business continuity and disaster recovery.
    • Experience managing engineering teams on large-scale projects involving cloud, computer hardware, scripts, networking, operating systems, and storage.
    • Detailed knowledge of container orchestration systems like Kubernetes.
    • Experience leading cross-functional teams to achieve business outcomes.
    • Experience overseeing large-scale distributed systems engineering teams.
    • Experience managing IT vendor agreements, including direct vendor management, pricing negotiation, contract review, and service level agreements.
    • Strong execution mindset with a vision to evolve platforms and teams.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
    • Preferred: Master's Degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field.
    • Supervisory experience is preferred.
