Job Description

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to fill a part-time position at ARS Treatment Centers. The ideal candidate will have experience in medication dispensing and a strong understanding of substance abuse treatment.

Responsibilities:

• Medication Dispensing: Dispense medications as prescribed by physicians and monitor medication inventory
• Medical Record Maintenance: Ensure the completeness of all medical aspects of the medical record
• Team Collaboration: Participate in treatment team meetings and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
• Inventory Management: Reconcile medication inventory and report any discrepancies to charge nurses
• Administrative Tasks: Process physician orders, enter notes, and sign and process phase change requests

Requirements:

• Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an active license as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• Experience: Some understanding of substance abuse treatment and experience with medication dispensing
• Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to make independent decisions, and proficiency in the use of personal computers
