    We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Director, Relationship Management to join our Global Family Office team. This role can be located in Boston, MA or New York, NY.

    In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
    • Oversee the relationship management effort for our Global Family Office clients, identifying opportunities for incremental account growth.
    • Directly manage a portfolio of significant family office clients of strategic importance to BNY Mellon.
    • Leading the development of BNY Wealth Management thought leadership and solution offering in the family office client segment.
    • Establish and steward internal relationships to recommend and advocate for product/service enhancements that will meet underserved client interests.
    • Establishes the strategic objectives for Relationship Management across our Global Family Office segment, ensuring objectives link directly to related enterprise or firm-wide goals.
    • Identifies areas of focus for achieving incremental growth and establishes protocols to guide Relationship Managers in integrating these focus areas into their clients' account plans.
    • Develops and reports on team metrics and dashboards. Accountable for meeting or exceeding assigned KPIs.
    • Liaises and strategizes with cross-business relationship managers in addition to peer leaders in account management and business development and serves on governance committees to ensure effective client account coordination throughout the firm.
    • Serves as an escalation point for critical service issues or roadblocks, owning issues through to resolution.
    • Ensures client onboarding and/or risk management activities are conducted and captured (KYC, BAC, etc.) Serves as the interface for compliance, regulatory, reputational matters between clients and the Bank.
    • Recruits, directs, motivates and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team.
    To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
    • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Advanced/graduate degree preferred.
    • 15+ years of total work experience preferred with 5-7 years of management experience preferred.
    • Wealth Management experience, especially with an in-depth knowledge of the needs of family office clients. Prior experience as a Relationship Management leader is highly desirable.
    • A track record of successfully growing relationships through strategic approaches and relationship management excellence.

    BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $181,500 and $300,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.

    This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
