    Seeking a Construction Estimator that can perform takeoffs and produce bids for commercial construction projects throughout New England and New York.

    Title: Estimator (Jr / Sr)

    Location: Manchester, NH

    Salary: $75,000 to $120,000 +Car Allowances/Gas

    Responsibilities:

    • Review project plans and specifications to develop RFIs relevant to the project being bid. This process will include travel as necessary for subcontractor walk throughs, pre-bid meetings, etc.
    • Identify project risks, issues and their order of magnitude.
    • Prepares instructions to bidders, bid forms and other bid solicitation information as required and post to our electronic bidding site in order to solicit subcontractor and/or supplier information & pricing.
    • Review, manage, scope and qualify sub-contractor bids.
    • Create professional project management and construction services for the commercial construction industry
    • Prepare conceptual budgets, sometimes based on minimal information (design build experience helpful).
    • Review general conditions, schedule, scopes of work, hoisting plans, site logistics and other exhibits relevant to the project.
    • Ensure that the flow of project information is maintained and documented during the bidding process.
    • Review construct-ability issues with operational staff. Analyze alternate means and methods to determine the most economical alternative (design build experience helpful).
    • Build effective relationships with customers, design team members, specialty contractors, suppliers, and user groups

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Administration, or equivalent related work experience.
    • Minimum of 3 years commercial estimating experience.
    • Possess strong mathematical and computer skills.
    • Proficiency with all MS Office products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
    • Ability to breakdown construction operations into a logical sequence of activities creating construction schedules.
    • Ability to work in a team environment.
    • Good time management skills being able to meet deadlines.
