    Description
    Title: Class A CDL DriverLocation: Reno, NVOverview: We are seeking experienced and safety-conscious Class A CDL Drivers to join our transportation team in Reno, NV. The ideal candidate will have a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL), a clean driving record, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. This position offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic team and play a crucial role in transporting goods safely and efficiently.
    Responsibilities:
    • Operate and maneuver commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
    • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, checking for mechanical issues and ensuring that all equipment is in good working condition.
    • Secure cargo and ensure proper distribution of weight, using straps, chains, or other securing devices as necessary.
    • Plan and execute delivery routes, taking into account factors such as traffic conditions, weather, and customer schedules.
    • Safely load and unload cargo, utilizing appropriate equipment and following proper lifting and handling techniques.
    • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise.
    • Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, mileage, fuel consumption, and deliveries, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe driving practices.
    • Report any accidents, incidents, or violations to management immediately and complete required documentation.
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks on vehicles, such as checking fluid levels, changing tires, and cleaning interiors, to ensure optimal performance and appearance.
    Qualifications:
    • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Class A CDL Driver, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.
    • Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing the operation of commercial vehicles, including hours-of-service regulations and DOT requirements.
    • Ability to safely operate and maneuver tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles in various road and weather conditions.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Attention to detail and a commitment to safety and compliance.
    • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
    • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
