    Body Fit Plus is hiring for correctional facility in Salinas, CA

    Job Details : Cath Lab Technician
    • Location : Salinas, CA
    • Rate : $80 to $100 Hour
    • Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional on-call availability after hours and some weekends, as necessary.
    Skills: Cath Lab Technician
    For Radiologic Technology program graduates: CRT and Fluoroscopy certifications are required. Additionally, one of the following credentials is required:
    • ARRT registration with CI credentials
    • RCIS or RCES credentials from CCI
    • CEPS certification from IBHRE
    For CVT program graduates: One of the following credentials is required:
    • RCIS or RCES credentials from CCI
    • CEPS certification from IBHRE
    • BLS certification is required.

    Education:
    Graduate of a CAHEP-accredited CVT program or completion of a 2-year Radiologic Technology training program approved by AMA.

    Responsibilities: Cath Lab Technician

    Reporting to the Assistant Director of Cardiology, the Cath Lab Technician performs a range of technical procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. Key duties include:

    • Assisting in diagnostic fluoroscopic angiographic procedures, coronary and peripheral interventions, and Electrophysiology procedures.
    • Participating in patient care preparation for cardiac procedures, including monitoring pre- and post-procedure conditions and reporting any changes to the physician or registered nurse.
    • Contributing to the preventative maintenance of equipment in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and promptly reporting any malfunctions to the Assistant Director.
    • Assisting with supply management to ensure adequate resources for procedures.
    • Collaborating effectively with the Cath Lab team, understanding, and performing various responsibilities as needed.
    • Demonstrating proficiency in initiating CPR measures and utilizing emergency equipment.
    • Supporting the implementation and maintenance of quality improvement programs related to radiological equipment and department initiatives.
    • Adhering to hospital safety standards, including proper equipment and procedure utilization, and promptly reporting any unsafe conditions to the patient care manager.
    • Operating equipment according to procedure protocols and assisting physicians during Cath Lab procedures, while maintaining sterile techniques.
    • Handling contrast media as required for procedures.
    • Providing age-appropriate care to patients served on the unit.
    • Performing any other duties as assigned.
