    This position will support operations by providing Quality technical support in controlling processes and assuring customer needs are met. This is a high exposure position that will perform a major role in day-to-day problem solving.

    The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that all products are safe, effective, and meet quality and regulatory requirements before being distributed.

    Responsible for leading and developing a team of engineering professionals in complex and multi-disciplined engineering projects from concept through execution.

    Coordinates and assigns engineering work across functions within the scope of assigned projects to ensure objectives in terms of quality, cost, and time are met.

    Develops engineering budgets for assigned department, prepares engineering documents including cost estimates, appropriation requests, projects schedules, design specifications, instruction specifications, purchase requisitions, and operating manuals.

    Assures that contracts are awarded to the outside vendors that offer the best value and appropriate quality.
    Manage and improve processes to uphold product quality standards. Leads, directs and coordinates the development and implementation of "major" improvement initiatives and projects. Spearheads and performs in-depth analysis, investigation and advanced quality problem-solving techniques on high cost, complex, quality projects.

    The scope of influence of this position will span manufacturing, quality, corporate engineering, purchasing, product planning, customer order planning, production scheduling, finance and the continuous improvement department.

    Responsible for the deployment of the CWS Quality System including the development and oversight of the annual quality plan. Serves as a resource to others as assigned, providing technical information and engineering recommendations that assist with projects.

    Track and monitor key quality performance metrics in order to reduce reasons for customer dissatisfaction including product warranty analysis via data warehouse.

    The scope of influence of this position spans manufacturing, engineering, product development, sales branches and material vendors.

    Strong influential leadership skills are necessary when planning and implementing corporate quality initiatives and when prioritizing corporate and divisional projects.

    The ability to effectively present information, defend a position and address concerns is key to fostering collaboration.
    Assure consistent quality levels by establishing, maintaining and monitoring quality polices, standards and procedures.
    Work with the customers, suppliers and internal personnel to discuss and resolve quality issues as required.
    Escalate issues and participate in mitigating risks.
    Coordinate continuous process improvement initiatives between manufacturing operations and engineering.
    Perform internal audits and QA reviews.
    Develop, execute and analyze quality data.
    Establish relationships with all members of the organization, as well as the customers.
    Assist in development and promote use of problem-solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and successful corrective action.
    Lead certification inspections and gather all necessary documentation for support

    EDUCATION or EXPERIENCE
    Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Math, or relevant Science or combination of education and experience. Masters Degree preferred in Engineering, Math, relevant Science or Business Administration.
    7+ years combined engineering experience within 2-3 disciplines (Process, Product, CI, Quality, Plant).Multi-divisional and multi-site experience recommended.
    Desire and skill set to pursue management path.

    Certificates, licenses, and registrations:
    Lean Sigma Green Belt certification and ASQ Certified Quality Engineer preferred.

    TRAVEL
    10% travel is expected for this position.

    LOCATION
    This position is based in Ocala, Florida but will travel to multiple sites. Relocation assistance is available for this position.
