Experience as a Network Administrator required.
High school graduate with 4-year technical degree in computer science or other related field experience are required.
Bachelor's Degree and certifications with Cisco, VMWare and/or Microsoft preferred.
Experience in designing the following is required: Virtual Server Environments; Local Area Networks; Wide Area Networks; Directory Services; E-mail Infrastructures (including related security); Network Security (including firewall, intrusion detection/prevention, content filtering, threat detection/removal systems); and Desktop Management Systems.
Experience with networking protocols and advanced networking concepts (i.e. network switching, routing, and VLANs) are required.
Effective communication skills.
- Supervise staff members placed under his/her jurisdiction:
- Regularly meet and work with technology team to assure efficient operation of technology within the district
- Prioritize tasks and monitor progress with respect to support tickets and projects
- Manage scheduling to assure adequate support coverage
- Evaluate performances, providing appropriate reports to the Director of Technology .
- Working with the Systems and Network Administrator:
- Design and implement all approved LAN and WAN infrastructure projects for the district
- Recommend new technologies for use in the classroom and offices throughout the district
- Maintain and upgrade hardware, software, and security as needed on all network servers and infrastructure
- Provide recommendations and direction regarding management of the district's computers
- Working with the Director of Technology
- Assist with project prioritization and planning
- Assist with budget development
- Create requisitions for necessary technology, tools, and other items needed by technical support staff under his/her jurisdiction
- Regularly visit classrooms to maintain a current understanding of instructional needs and effectiveness of implemented technical solutions
- Through appropriate professional development, keep abreast of new technologies that may be used for educational and staff use in the district
- Provide Level 3 support for all district approved systems and networks, assuring 24/7 availability of primary systems and networks
SALARY: $100,000 - $125,000
Position: Network Manager

Reports to: Director of Technology
Primary Function: The Network Manager will supervise the technical support personnel through project implementation and day-to-day support. In addition, the Network Manager will work with the Systems and Network Administrator to design, recommend, and implement all infrastructure related systems and networks for the district.
