Handel's Homemade Ice Cream has been making small-batch ice cream fresh every day since 1945, using original recipes and real ingredients. Recognized nationally for our quality, abundance, and value, we're proud to serve generous scoops that keep guests coming back.
Our La Jolla shop brings that legacy to a community that appreciates great product and friendly, consistent service—whether it's families, students, or locals out for their favorite flavor.
What We Expect from YouMenu Mastery: Learn and describe our 48 daily flavors (we have over 150 total recipes)
Friendly Service: Engage with guests during busy hours, resolve questions, and keep things running smoothly
Cash Handling: Operate the register with confidence, accuracy, and professionalism
Clean & Organized: Maintain a clean, polished, and efficient work area—attention to detail matters
Team Reliability: Show up on time, communicate clearly, and consistently support your team
Availability: Must be available to work nights and weekends—these are required shifts
Competitive Pay & Tips: $20/hr. starting wage + tip sharing with your crew
Fast-Paced Fun: High-volume lines, upbeat energy, and constant movement
Hands-On Training: Learn how to succeed at the counter/window with structured, clear onboarding
