    Job Description
    The International Logistics Coordinator will be responsible and accountable for inbound air and ocean
    freight, duty, operation fees, transportation, customs clearance fees, and incoterms. The successful
    candidate will have proven professional experience and a detailed knowledge of industry's best practice
    processes. Knowledge of import/export businesses and Netsuite ERP is a plus. General tech savviness is a
    must. This role reports to the VP of Purchasing, and offers support to the entire organization.

    Duties and responsibilities

    • Use previous experience and company training to effectively manage transportation costs
    through company vetted vendors. Research all possible routings via airlines, line-haul, pick-up/delivery, scheduling, and geographic servicing. Utilize the most efficient and cost-effective
    routes.

    • Maintain accurate records on full container shipments, along with LCL and AIR
    • Communicate to overseas inquiries in a clear, concise, and timely manner.
    • Maintaining the detailed international shipment tracking log. Document all shipments with
    detailed trace notes and accurate data entry.

    • Generation of documentation for all shipments in compliance with all relevant regulations and
    collaborate with the freight forwarder to establish a valid shipping rate. Adhere to all
    international shipping regulations.

    • Set up, review accuracy and monitoring of filer's performance of Importers Security Filings
    • Performing intercompany transactions in Netsuite
    • Preparing products for import, including work with other departments to gather data elements
    needed for imports, maintaining imported products database, recordkeeping

    • Working with customs brokers and freight forwarders on inbound shipments to optimize space,
    providing necessary documentation and details needed to clear shipments

    • Thoroughly document all information for every shipment including special customer requests,
    documentation of agent specials, the assignment of special authorization numbers, ship tracing
    information and OSD information. Maintain, with accuracy, appropriate TSA and DOT
    documents including documents for the movement of Dangerous Goods.

    • Proactively identify shipments at risk of service failure and take control of shipments to ensure
    on time delivery.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of an Associates degree (or equivalent) in a related field and - 3 years of experience
    in transportation, logistics or other transportation business. Experience working with Dangerous
    Goods/HAZ-MAT certification desired. However, a combination of experience and/or education
    will be taken into consideration.


    • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software
    applications.

    • Must be able to proficiently complete air and ground shipping documents both electronically and
    manually.

    • Import / Export knowledge and Netsuite ERP is a plus
    • Communication skills with overseas vendors are a must
    • Demonstrate effective problem solving, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
    • Must be able to clearly convey short and long-term defined goals.
