    Description

    Key Responsibilities:


    • Coordinate with insurance markets to renew Global insurance policies.


    • Create strategic plan for Company on annual basis ensuring best coverage and value for money.


    • Coordinate with insurance markets to acquire and place insurance on development projects.


    • Ensure all insurance documentation is accurate and retained.


    • Prepare yearly insurance allocations and budgets for operational properties and funds.


    • Analyze loss experience data and examine market rates and premium.

    · Negotiate insurance requirements with 3rd parties - tenants, contractors, lenders and partners.

    · Contract review to identify exposure and opportunity for transfer of risk.

    · Assist department in external communications and quantification of insurance risk associated with business transactions.

    · Assist department to effectively communicate to internal senior management the risks and costs associated with risk in their decision-making process.


    • Coordinate claims process internally and with our external claims' resources.


    • Develop and manage loss prevention programs.


    • Participate in loss safety coordination meetings, trainings, and site visits.


    • Report and manage resolution of claims.

    Qualifications


    • Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant risk management experience, particularly with a legal focus.


    Bachelor's degree and legal degree required, preferred Juris Doctor Advanced or paralegal.


    • Experience with real estate and construction insurance industry preferred.

    The base compensation range for this role is $120,000 to $130,000. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, as well as access to our comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, 401(k) plan (with matching contributions), wellness benefits and all other benefits afforded to full-time employees.

    This base range reflects several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skill sets, and/or licensure required of an individual in this role. The base range is also specific to members of our Client's New York team.
