    Pyros is a specialized pharmaceutical company dedicated to developing and introducing innovative medications for rare diseases with unmet necessities.     Role Summary
    The Vice President, Corporate Controller, accountable to the Chief Operating Officer, will oversee the domains of general accounting and finance, ensuring adherence to GAAP, federal, state, local regulations, and company protocols. This individual will manage financial data for financial statements, improve accounting and control systems, and maintain vendor systems. The Controller will collaborate with all departments as a financial partner to back crucial business decisions.


    Responsibilities
    - Supervise and lead accounting and finance, including treasury, payroll, equity, revenue, EBITDA, gross to net, rebates, assets, and financial statement closure procedures.
    - Coordinate the generation of the company's quarterly and yearly financial statements and submissions in line with GAAP.
    - Compile yearly budgets meeting management's profit targets and creating forecasts.
    - Ensure prompt payment of accounts payable with relevant discounts and prompt collection of accounts receivable.
    - Identify budget variations and report significant concerns to management, present financial and operational metrics.
    - Conduct timely payroll processing.
    - Lead and manage quarter-end, month-end, and year-end accounting closure, account reconciliations, and GL analysis adhering to reporting deadlines.
    - Assess the balance sheet and income statement for potential accounting or reporting issues breaching GAAP or SEC regulations.
    - Generate and present reports and presentations to the Board of Directors, lenders, and shareholders.
    - Oversee and supervise the year-end audit, internal and external audit functions, and quarterly assessments.
    - Review and approve journal entries.
    - Manage the 401(k) plan and applicable compliance.
    - Guarantee adherence to internal controls concerning financial reporting.
    - Supervise and handle taxes, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws.
    - Assess, review, and implement the implications of all newly released accounting and reporting statements.
    - Guide financial decisions by implementing, overseeing, and enforcing financial policies and procedures.
    - Administer and lead direct reports, setting clear objectives and standards, managing performance, providing regular feedback and guidance, and inspiring and aiding reports in their growth.


    Skills & Requirements
    - Strong financial and accounting expertise in areas like economic principles, financial markets, banking, financial data analysis, forecasting, reporting, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.
    - Experience in private equity.
    - Experience with overseeing all financial data, reporting, and audit coordination complying with US GAAP.
    - Ability to deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines, with strong organizational and priority-setting competencies.
    - Proficiency in NetSuite and Microsoft Office.
    - Demonstrated strong leadership capabilities.
    - Proficiency in accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel.
    - Strong communication of financial information in clear business terms for all employee levels in the organization.
    - Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
    - Keen attention to detail, and effective decision-making skills.


    Qualifications
    - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field. Master of Accountancy or MBA preferred.
    - 10+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting.
    - Experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
    - CPA certification.


    Physical Demands
    - Occasional travel to headquarters and business meetings.
    - Occasional mobility within the home office environment.
    - Frequently in a stationary position for extended periods.
    - Regular operation of computer, printer, telephone, and similar office devices.
