    The Brian Hamilton Foundation is looking for a sharp, driven professional to develop and execute marketing and public relations campaigns on behalf of Brian Hamilton and the Brian Hamilton Foundation.

    The role will encompass public relations, community relations, and digital marketing. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills and will be a strategic thinker with a creative mindset. This is an excellent, junior-level opportunity for someone coming out of school or with just a few years experience.


    The person in this position will serve as publicist to our founder, entrepreneur Brian Hamilton, who is best known for founding Sageworks (now Abrigo) and Inmates to Entrepreneurs, and starring on Free Enterprise on ABC.

    An advocate for small businesses, Hamilton's articles have appeared in outlets such as The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Fortune Magazine and U.S.

    News. He has been interviewed by Good Morning America, CNBC, Fox Business, MSNBC, and other networks.


    Responsibilities:
    Media relations - Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with local, regional, and national media outlets and journalists. Pitch compelling story angles to media outlets, securing media placements in top-tier publications, online platforms, and broadcast channels.
    Community engagement - Foster connections with local and national organizations. Book and manage speaking engagements.
    Content creation - Generate compelling content for various platforms, including social media and websites.
    Digital marketing - Oversee the digital marketing strategy, including website optimization, email marketing, and social media campaigns.


    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record (cumulative GPA of 3.7+)
    0-5 years of relevant work experience (internships count)
    Very strong written and verbal communication skills
    Comfort meeting and exceeding individual goals such as daily outreach targets and monthly media placements
    Demonstrated leadership experience
    Ability to work independently
    Demonstrated success in securing media placements and experience working in a startup environment are a plus

    This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits. The role is hybrid (remote + in-office) and our office is located in Holly Springs, NC.
