- Sliding Pad Eyes, Boat Davits, Cranes, Capstans, Antenna Tilting Groups, and Chocks.
- Ability to manage, oversee, schedule and assign tasks to one or more multiple jobs. Installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies equipment.
- Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations.
- Provide strong organizational and technical skills and the ability to perform detail-oriented work. Shall be self-motivated, customer oriented, possess strong analytic and communication (oral and written) skills.
- Must have recent experience (within two years) maintaining and operating US Navy Auxiliary equipment.
- Must have experience troubleshooting and assessment of US Navy Deck Equipment, in the official capacity of a SME for either a US Navy Engineering Activity, OEM, or industrial/commercial activity.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
- Must have knowledge of Navy assessment programs, ship visit procedures, and post-visit reporting methods.
- Must have experience troubleshooting, assessing, and inspecting shipboard systems and equipment. Demonstrate proper techniques for identifying causes of equipment casualties.
- Must have the ability to interpret wiring diagrams, control schematics, and piping drawings.
- Demonstrated computer/laptop hardware and software proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), necessary for compiling information and developing reports as required by the respective C250 Branch Head.
- Possess the ability to review, update, and close assigned jobs in the prescribed government database.
- A current/valid DoD security clearance. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes. The exact weight requirements will be determined by the specific job, but no less than 30 lbs. Able to work on and climb ladders, work in extreme temperature environments, aboard ships, in shipyards,under industrial conditions and in confined spaces. Able to perform other duties as required which may involve high heat, humidity, noise and dirty conditions, working aloft or over the sides of vessels. May ride ships at sea for extended periods. May require wearing a respirator. Travel may be required within and outside of the continental United States.
