    National Sales Executive – Domestic Logistics

    Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid or On-site)

    About the Opportunity

    Altius Talent is partnering with a leading player in domestic logistics to identify an experienced and driven National Sales Executive specializing in LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) and FTL (Full-Truckload) transportation solutions.

    This is a high-impact, growth-oriented position based in Chicago, focused on developing new business and expanding national client relationships across diverse industries. The ideal candidate is a motivated logistics professional who thrives on building strategic partnerships and delivering value-driven freight solutions.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Drive new business development and grow national accounts across LTL and FTL transportation markets.
    • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan targeting shippers and manufacturers throughout the U.S.
    • Manage the full sales cycle — from lead generation and prospecting to negotiation and closing.
    • Collaborate with internal operations, pricing, and carrier management teams to design customized logistics solutions.
    • Deliver persuasive sales presentations, RFP responses, and solution proposals tailored to client needs.
    • Build long-term relationships through consistent communication, account management, and exceptional service delivery.
    • Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting data within CRM tools.
    • Stay current with market conditions, competitor activities, and industry trends to identify new opportunities.
    • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities.

    Qualifications

    • 3–7 years of proven experience in domestic logistics sales, preferably in LTL/FTL brokerage or 3PL environments.
    • Strong knowledge of carrier networks, freight pricing, and supply chain operations.
    • Demonstrated success in achieving or exceeding sales targets and developing new customer relationships.
    • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
    • Highly self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working independently in a competitive market.
    • Proficient in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
