Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide on-demand maintenance support for various communication systems. This includes operating heavy equipment, performing cable installation and repair, and ensuring the reliability of network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Provide site management and operation & maintenance (O&M) services for unified communications, inside plant, customer service telephone, outside plant (cable), battery maintenance, cable locates, and other systems.
Support customer telephone requirements, including responding to service requests and isolating/troubleshooting telephone issues.
Maintain all network cabling infrastructure, network equipment, voice, video, data systems, and ancillary equipment.
Install, remove, and move all instruments, service lines, and LAN services associated with administrative telephone services and information technology services.
Perform emergency work requests within two hours of notification.
Support modernization programs, such as network modernizations and installation information infrastructure modernization.
Participate in technical design reviews, working groups, and Change Control Board process/board meetings.
Provide property accountability for telecommunication equipment using the standard Army accountability system.

Requirements

Previous overseas experience highly preferred.
Education: High school diploma/GED or higher.
Minimum of three years of OSP cable experience.
Fluent spoken and written English language skills, including technical terms used in IT, network routing and switching, telecommunications, IT maintenance, and technical control facilities.
Secret Security Clearance.
