    A manufacturing company in Delaware is looking to add a new Contracts Paralegal to their growing team in Wilmington. In this role, the Contracts Paralegal will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and explaining contracts, ensuring legal compliance, and facilitating contract fulfillment or termination as needed.

    ***This is a Hybrid opportunity requiring the qualified professional to work onsite at least 3 days a week.***

    Responsibilities:

    The Contracts Paralegal will:

    • Draft and/or review IP licenses, confidentiality agreements, and other contracts, as needed
    • Draft and/or review contract terms and conditions with minimal attorney oversight
    • Possess excellent issue spotting skills, being able to identify potential concerns or red flags within contracts
    • Prepare agreements using current research methods and understand business needs as well legal implications and possess the ability to fulfill such requests
    • Review contract terms and conditions to verify that they are in compliance with company policies and all applicable regulations
    • Assist business to fulfill the terms of or to terminate contracts on mutually amicable terms
    • Posses the ability to clearly explain contract terms to business and other interested parties in simple, everyday language
    • Serve as primary point of contact for business clients requiring contracts
    • Collaborate and partner with Legal team to help improve current processes and be comfortable with establishing new processes for improved efficiencies
    • Work independently with others across all business functions, such as Marketing, R&D, and Finance in support of contract needs
    • Must be able to work independently but thrive in a collaborative group environment
    • Run and analyze contract reports in support of contract initiatives
    • Work independently to ensure completion of contracts in a timely manner
    • Proofread, edit, and fact-check legal documents for accuracy and consistency

    Qualifications:

    • IP experience is highly preferred
    • Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate from an approved ABA school or equivalent experience
    • 5-7 years experience as a contract paralegal/ specialist/manager in a corporate legal department
    • Extensive experience with contracts; reviewing and understanding contracts and related key terms
    • Experience with and contract management systems
    • Background in intellectual property including trademarks, copyrights and patents a plus
