- Provide clinical support to physicians
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate clinical needs of patients
- Assist with consults and admissions
- Assist with rounds (writing notes, orders, wound care, etc.)
- Write discharge orders and dictate discharge notes
- Assist in surgical procedures within approved scope of practice in an inpatient and outpatient setting
- Collaborate and serve as liaison between providers, consultants and medical staff
- Participate in outreach and educational events
- Works under general supervision with broad latitude for initiative and independent judgment
- Graduated from an approved accredited nursing program
- Current RN license in the State of Texas or have the ability to transfer your license to Texas
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the appropriate nursing specialty from an approved certification program as recognized by the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiner
- Recognition by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners as an Advance Practitioner
