    Minimum 1+ years Behavior Specialist experience required.

    Job Description: As an RBT working in our school-based program, you will play a crucial role in supporting the learning and development of a nonverbal autistic student through individualized behavior intervention strategies. You will work closely with the student, their family, and other members of the school team to implement evidence-based practices and promote positive behavior change. This position requires patience, empathy, and a commitment to helping students reach their full potential.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide direct 1:1 support to a nonverbal autistic student, implementing behavior intervention plans and strategies developed by the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
    • Implement data collection procedures to track student progress and behavior outcomes, ensuring fidelity to the intervention plan.
    • Utilize principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to teach functional skills, communication, socialization, and behavior management techniques.
    • Collaborate with the BCBA, classroom teachers, and other school staff to ensure consistency and coordination of interventions across settings.
    • Support the student's participation in classroom activities and transitions, providing necessary accommodations and adaptations as needed.
    • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians, providing regular updates on student progress and collaborating on behavior support strategies for home and school.
    • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with students, families, and colleagues.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, or related field.
    • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required.
    • Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), preferably in a school or clinical setting.
    • Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and collaborate effectively with team members.
    • Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with individuals with special needs.
