    Position Summary:

    The Maintenance Manager will report to the Chief Engineer.

    Core responsibilities include the following but are not limited to: Directs the daily workflow of union represented Maintenance Engineers. Manages and directs employee calendars including attendance violations and counseling/discipline on performance matters. Position is a hands-on manager, who also directs the flow of maintenance projects.

    Follow all company policies and procedures; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager. Speak with others using clear and professional language; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

    Specific Responsibilities:

    • Maintains scheduling of all staff
    • Directs the flow of work in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement
    • Assists my providing supplies, tools and guidance with project work
    • Provides guidance and insight for Engineers to complete the physical work. Trains and directs employees who may have skills challenges.
    • Must be able to perform all the duties assigned to the Maintenance Engineer
    • Performs other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management

    Position Requirements (Skills/Abilities):

    Experience:

    One to Three years of management and maintenance experience in a multi-unit setting is required Must be able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously; communicate effectively at all levels; and demonstrate the ability to analyze and resolve problems.

    Education: High School diploma or GED required. HVAC Universal Certification required, HVAC Diploma Required, OSHA 10 Certification required.

    Flexible Scheduling: Must be able to work Evenings, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, On-call and Holidays.

    Managerial Responsibilities:

    This position carries out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    Physical Demands:

    While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is required to use his/her hands and fingers to feel, and reach for objects of various sizes, shapes and weight.

    The employee will occasionally be required to climb a step ladder or balance and, to talk, hear and/or smell. The employee must regularly push, pull, lift and/or move 40-50 lbs. And occasionally push, pull, lift and/or move 75 or more pounds with assistance. Specific Vision abilities required for this job include Close vision, Distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus in various settings. Good Customer Service skills are a must.

    This position is highly visible in all resort areas, team members must present a clean professional appearance and must adhered to Daily Management, Inc., Local Standard Operating Procedures-Standards of Appearance.
