Join a global automotive company as a Prototype Engineer/Designer. We are seeking a highly creative and skilled designer/engineer for a short-term project to contribute to a highly innovative project. Were looking for candidates who have strong wire harness design, have strong knowledge and understanding of electric motors, motor controllers, and batteries and you will be interfacing with a highly collaborative team, including the vehicle team, and external suppliers.

Responsibilities:

• will be actively working on a prototype utilizing wire harness design to effectively meet project deadlines and pivoting as project needs evolve.
• the project development, you will contribute to designing and design adjustments for the prototype and testing those as needed.
• participate in group meetings and communicate progress and details with various team members and stakeholders.
• closely with the design team to understand project requirements and deliver creative solutions that align with project goals.
• work with external suppliers and represent the company during these interactions.

Required Skillset:

• of 3+ years of experience working directly with prototype design and development,
• hands-on experience with wire harness design.
• knowledge on the automotive field including electric motors, motor controllers, and batteries.
• working experience on CAD.
• attention to detail, timelines, delivery specifications and established project workflows.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields.
• with engineering programming languages.
• and high-level engineering technical knowledge to effectively communicate with external suppliers.
• to work in highly dynamic, research and development environment.

Contract Duration: 3 months

Location: Torrance, CA (Onsite candidates highly preferred)

Pay: $70 - 85/h (DOE)
