    Summary:

    The Physical Therapist will have the education, knowledge, and skill to provide in-patient and/or out-patient services, focusing on functional skills to enhance development, restore function, and prevent disability from pediatric conditions, illness, and injury. Evaluation, treatment, and home programming are provided for children with burns and wounds, sports medicine and orthopedic injuries, brain injuries and neurological impairments, hematology and oncology disorders, musculoskeletal injuries or disorders, gross motor delays, and cardiopulmonary disorders. Also includes evaluations for wheelchairs, walkers, and other assistive devices. The position shall include patient and caregiver education and consultation with other professionals, clinics, and agencies, both within Cook Children's Health Care System and within the community.

    Hours/Schedule: This position will work on an as-needed basis to help provide coverage to our 3 Rehab Clinics in Fort Worth, Hurst & Mansfield (mileage reimbursement). Hours will vary but our clinics operate from 7:30 am - 6 pm Mon-Fri.

    Education:
    • Master's Degree or equivalent experiences.
    • Pediatric Experience Preferred; Developmental and/or Sports Experience Preferred.


    Certification/Licensure:
    • State license for physical therapy or eligible for licensure.
    • BLS required.
