    Job Summary:
    The Program Assistant is responsible for the implementation and coordination (under the supervision of the Manager and Department Director) of key initiatives for the Community and Patient Engagement Department including Just for Seniors, PossAbilities, EC Support Groups and key patient engagement activities and initiatives. Works closely with the Department Director, Manager, EC, and HSH leadership, volunteers, community partners, and others to carry out all activities associated with these initiatives and utilizes their interpersonal skills to maximize the highest level of customer service and maintain a professional demeanor among a culturally diverse workforce. Performs other duties as needed.


    Education and Experience:
    High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's Degree in Business or in related field preferred. Minimum two years of experience in community outreach and program coordination required.


    Knowledge and Skills:
    Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer software and spreadsheets (excel, word, PowerPoint), and other software programs necessary to the position


    Able to:
    relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others, be assertive and consistent in following policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure, collaborate; accept direction


    Able to:
    communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; work independently with minimal supervision; perform basic math functions; manage multiple assignments effectively; work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment; problem solve; organize and prioritize workload; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail


    Able to:

    hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone; identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the work place; see adequately to read computer screens and written documents necessary to position.


    Licensures and Certifications:
    Valid driver's license required at time of hire.
