    Description
    JOB TITLE: CDL Class A Driver

    JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Perform daily routes depending on the weekly schedule determined by manager.
    • Operate a CDL trailer to deliver commercial tires/wheels as well as other items to customers.
    • Must maintain a safe and clean driving record.
    • Responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance on tractor-trailer and on person.
    • Maintain an ELD (Electronic Logging Device) detailing the hours traveled, rest periods, miles/distance covered, verifying logs weekly, and reporting any errors to the Branch Manager for correction, as well as fuel, repair, toll, and/or other expenses.
    • Effectively communicate any traffic violations, accidents, breakdowns, or delays in route to management and customers.
    • Conduct pre and post trip inspections, to ensure that all mechanical systems are operating properly.
    • Review orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the changes are correct.
    • Maintain safe procedures while operating a company vehicle.
    • Must follow and comply with all DOT regulations.
    • Assist in loading and unloading the product on the trucks.
    • Ensures deliveries are timely.
    • Adheres to McCarthy Tire Service policies and standards.
    • Must have excellent driving aptitude for both manual and automatic vehicles.
    • Learn and maintain all PM's and ensure daily performance check on vehicle.
    OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Other duties can and will arise, and the candidate should be prepared to take on these challenges openly.
    REQUIREMENTS
    • At least 1 year of delivery driving experience within the last 3 years.
    • Class A license.
    • Valid driver's license.
    • Must have clean MVR, Drug Test, and pass the DOT physical.
    • Flexibility in schedule.
    • Minimum 18 years of age.
    • Lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds.
