    JOB DESCRIPTION (Roles, Responsibilities, and Expectations)
    Summary/Objective
    This position will be responsible for working with customers and manufacturing to ensure the completion of projects, meet timing, budget, and quality specifications. Additionally Service Project Managers will be responsible for providing training and workload to Service PE/s.
    Essential Functions
    Project Manager Functions
    • Understand the scope of the project
    • Manages the scope of the projects by organizing and controlling project elements.
    • Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans and conferring with estimating, and sales.
    • Manage and communicate all project information and project changes to all departments to assure that all concerned parties are well informed regarding the status of the project.
    • Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress, quality, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.
    • Develop and implement methods and procedures for monitoring projects
    • Coordinate tasks and resources for outside services, vendors, and dispatch
    • Provide formal and informal feedback to the project team to continually improve project effectiveness.
    • Manage project budgets
    • Manage project time line
    • Research potential risks of project.
    • Responsible for project schedule by monitoring project progress, quality, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.
    • Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan, scheduling changes, and recommending actions.
    • Cooperate and communicate effectively with PE and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support
    • Mentors and teaches Project Engineers (PE)
    • Generate quotes for service RFQs. Communicate with Sales staff and customer as necessary to accomplish.
    • Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
    Account Manager Functions
    • Develop existing business opportunities and inquires with customers
    • Continually position Company as the supplier of choice for new project
    • Develop new customers and prospect leads
    • Gather information for technical and commercial proposals
    • Responsible for doing quotes
    • Follow-up on technical proposals and respond to customer inquires
    • Track projects through the selling cycle to closure

    Work Environment
    This job operates in a clerical office setting and on the shop floor. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
    Physical Demands
    This is largely a sedentary role; however, some light lifting may be required.
    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
    This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
    Travel
    Some travel requirements. Primarily to customer locations.
    Required Education and Experience
    • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
    • 5+ years of Project Management Experience in plastic injection mold manufacturing/service
    • 5+ years' experience in the injection mold manufacturing or injection molding operation
    • Valid driver's license
    Preferred Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or business administration
    • Working knowledge of 3D modeling software, UG preferred, Pro-E is a plus
    • Proficiency with Microsoft 365
    • Understanding of what a BOM is and how it is utilized in the process
