- Compliance Oversight:
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance programs and policies related to business banking operations, predominantly for our US business.
- Monitor and assess compliance risks associated with business banking activities, including but not limited to lending, collections and transactional services.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Stay abreast of changes in relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, and advise management on necessary actions to maintain compliance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for bank partners regarding compliance matters.
- Foster strong relationships with bank partners and collaborate effectively to address compliance issues and concerns.
- Coordinate compliance-related communications and initiatives with bank partners, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and business objectives.
- Conduct periodic meetings and reviews with bank partners to evaluate compliance performance and address any identified gaps or areas for improvement.
- Identify potential compliance risks and vulnerabilities within business banking operations and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend corrective actions to address identified deficiencies.
- Provide guidance and support to business units to ensure compliance with risk management policies and procedures.
- Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees involved in business banking activities.
- Provide ongoing education and guidance to staff on compliance requirements, best practices, and emerging issues.
- Foster a culture of compliance awareness and accountability throughout the organization.
