    Description


    Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) is seeking a highly skilled Signal Integrity Engineer to ensure the successful design of ruggedized single board computers and systems.

    X-ES uses a wide variety of high-speed signaling technologies including DDR/LPDDR SDRAM, PCI Express, USB and 100G Ethernet protocols (both on-card and through a variety of form-factor standards including XMC and VPX.)Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform signal integrity analysis and verification of high-speed SERDES and DDR/LPDDR memory interfaces.

    Provide guidance and develop PCB layer stack-up and routing rules.
    Review PCB board design decal fanout patterns, trace topology, etc. for high-speed layout accuracy.
    Perform and review high frequency measurements to establish correlation with modeling and simulation.

    Work with project managers, technical leads and team members to ensure that signal integrity checks are performed in a timely fashion.

    Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
    Strong technical background in PCB construction and design, transmission line theory, I/O circuit technology and Gbps serial data interface.
    Computer proficiency with a high level of attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
    Self-motivated with the ability to organize and complete work with minimal supervision.

    Ability to work onsite from our facility located at 9901 Silicon Prairie Parkway in Verona, WI.Desired QualificationsMaster's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

    Three (3+) years of industry experience preferred.
    Experience with lab measurements, debugging using VNA, TDR, high-speed oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
    Understanding of IBIS and S-Parameter models.

    Hands on experience with HyperLynx, Sigrity, Si9000e, Clarity or HFSS.Familiarity with Intel, NXP (Freescale), and Xilinx memory controllers a plus.

    Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
    Experience programming in Python, MATLAB and other similar languages.
