    Job DescriptionWe are looking for an Automation Engineer, to join our Engineering team on our Westport site in Mayo. This is a 12-month FTC.

    The Automation Engineer is responsible for supporting the Business Unit/Department with day-to-day automation issues to ensure successful delivery of the planned production schedule.

    Reporting to the Automation Lead, the primary role is to support the business unit across all shifts and work closely with the Snr Automation engineers for complex issues and identifying process improvements.

    In addition to this, the Automation Engineer will be responsible for working closely with Operations, QA, E&T, and Maintenance to drive data integrity requirements for the business units.

    Roles and ResponsibilitiesPrimary responsibility is to support the business unit with day-to-day automation issues to ensure successful delivery of the planned production schedule.

    Implementing improvements to the equipment and procedures used in the manufacturing process.
    Lead small automation projects to improve the processes within the unit.
    Support the automation design element of capital expenditure projects in the unit/department.
    Contribute in a team environment on specific technical problem-solving forums associated with product manufacture, aseptic fill, and Packaging.
    Work closely with the BTS and Maintenance groups when troubleshooting issues on equipment and systems.
    Manage and drive data integrity requirements within the business units.
    Lead and provide feedback to system owners on the status data integrity projects.
    Lead the generation and routing, review and approval of data integrity and system-based documents.
    Support off-shift issues as required based on a Rota.
    Provide day-to-day automation support to ensure successful delivery of the planned schedule.
    Qualifications3rd level qualification required. 1 3 years experience in a pharmaceutical environment working on technical issues and problem-solving. Experience working with control/networked systems would be preferable. Detailed knowledge of regulatory requirements in a pharmaceutical GxP environment. Technical knowledge of both procedural controls and system controls for managing data Integrity.
