    Position DetailsThe Security Officer for ParkX Management ensures that the Reston Station Plaza, are run smoothly, safely, and cleanly, and is a good experience for residents, tenants, and guests. Please ask for available shifts.

    Responsibilities:
    • Manage traffic coming onto the plaza and keep it moving
    • Complete hourly patrol route of the property
    • Ensure no property is being damaged
    • Issue Banning notices to plaza rule violators
    • Manage the valet; ensure that cars are not being parked on the plaza or on the down ramp
    • Maintain a file for Ban Notices and notify management when necessary
    • Ensure that the plaza marketing plan is followed
    • Make sure the furniture on the plaza is in the Owner's requested layout
    • Assist with the watering of the potted plants on the plaza during the spring and summer months
    • Pull weeds that are growing through pavers
    • Maintain the appearance of the two plaza kiosks
    • Enforce the "no dogs on the plaza" policy
    • Keep updated information (e.g., Kiss N Ride, Contact Phone #'s, Rules of Conduct) and communicate to guests as needed
    • Report any unknown work that is occurring at the property to management
    • If anyone parks illegally on the plaza, notify Park X, Commercial property management, and Residential property management immediately
    • Communicate to guests that we must keep the fire access areas accessible for fire trucks and ambulances
    • Close RB4 loading dock doors as needed
    • Report any concerns to management
    • Assist building and maintenance techs with tasks as needed
    • Assist the Facilities Coordinator in the loading dock when needed
    • Assist the Marketing team before, during, and after events as needed
    • Perform other duties as assigned
    Qualifications:
    • High School Diploma
    • State of Virginia security officer certification preferred, or 90 days to obtain from date of hire
    • Minimum of at least 1-year experience in customer-service-related field
    • Valid driver's license without major violations
    • Flexibility to work after hours and on weekends, as needed
    • Outgoing personality with the ability to relate to diverse groups of people and build/maintain strong relationships.
    • Strong sense of urgency
    • Strong problem-solving, time management, and communication skills
    • Must be highly credible and trustworthy, and operate with a high degree of integrity
    • Must hold oneself and others accountable and strive for a high level of excellence
