    Director of OEM Sourcing

    Position Overview:

    The Director of OEM Sourcing is entrusted with formulating a strategic roadmap for OEM products in collaboration with our supplier base. This pivotal role entails fostering enduring relationships with OEM suppliers, prioritizing cost containment and reduction initiatives, and exploring alternative sourcing avenues. The scope of OEM products includes bearings, encoders, various mechanical assemblies, motors, and other essential components. Working closely with the Engineering team, this role contributes to the selection of OEM products as per project requirements. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment, seizing the opportunity to shape our supply chain strategy in the years to come.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Develop a comprehensive sourcing strategy for OEM parts, encompassing both existing and prospective suppliers on a local and global scale.

    Implement proactive supplier management practices, including ongoing cost negotiations and relationship maintenance.

    Collaborate with the Engineering team to align OEM part sourcing with New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.

    Drive cost reduction initiatives for OEM products, overseeing cost down roadmaps to optimize profitability.

    Required Skills and Experience:

    Demonstrated expertise in negotiation, with a proven track record of securing favorable terms and conditions.

    Extensive experience in building and nurturing an OEM supply base, including global sourcing initiatives.

    Proficiency in cost management and executing cost-down activities to enhance operational efficiency.

    Familiarity with the intricacies of NPI projects and their impact on supply chain dynamics.

    Exceptional communication and analytical abilities, with a knack for presenting compelling proposals to suppliers and senior management.

    Proficient in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and experienced in MRP systems.

    Adaptable to shifting priorities and tight deadlines, thriving in a dynamic work environment.

    Education Requirement:

    Bachelors Degree in a relevant field is required.
