    Description

    Requirements:

    • Responsible for general equipment maintenance, including sewing machines, manufacturing equipment, PLC.
    • Troubleshoots production machines.
    • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
    • Perform root cause analysis and provide long term corrective solutions to aid in the continuous improvement process.
    • Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
    • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
    • Follows and executes preventative maintenance program on all production machines.
    • Maintain documentation on work orders, Corrective Actions, and PM's (Pro-active and reactive work orders) or projects as assigned.
    • Initiates purchase order for parts and machines.
    • Assists in the development, improvement and modification of equipment to better accommodate production needs.
    • Perform skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic to troubleshoot, diagnosis, and repair of production machines to include but not limited injection molding, packaging, pump and compressor equipment while complying with safety regulations and maintaining clean and orderly work areas.
    • Able to read and interpret equipment manuals, work orders, technical manuals, blueprints, CAD drawings, & electrical diagrams to perform required maintenance and service.
    • Work with outside contractors to repair, refurbish or install building systems and equipment on schedule as needed.
    • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
    • Complete assigned maintenance tasks to support process improvement, scrap reduction, and other engineering-led activities.
    • Identify and communicate all needs in order to maintain a critical spare parts inventory.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education and Experience:

    • Associates degree and/or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
    • 3-5 years industrial/manufacturing maintenance experience

    Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills with some PLC experience.

    Required Licenses:

    • Driver License

    Powered Industrial Truck Experience: forklift, scissor lift and boom lift (preferred).

    Language Skills:

    Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets common scientific and technical journals. Ability to respond to complaints. Write, speak, and comprehend English. Ability to interact with a cross-functional diverse team throughout the organization.

    Mathematical Skills:

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole number fractions, and decimals.

    Reasoning Ability:

    • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions.
    • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics
