    Design Engineer (Carol Stream, IL)


    Job Description:


    Our client is a pioneering force in transforming surgical instrument cleaning, dedicated to making the process faster, safer, and more ergonomic for sterile processing departments in hospitals.

    They have emerged as a disruptor in their space, driven by a mission to enhance patient safety and care. To further their growth, they are seeking a Design Engineer to join their dynamic team.


    Job Duties:
    Apply engineering techniques to design, maintain, or enhance products and components.
    Utilize CAD software for conceptualizing designs, creating prototypes, and more.
    Manage the QC process, including testing and troubleshooting of our product library.
    Develop parts lists, collaborate with suppliers, and estimate costs for new products and designs.

    Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, such as clinical education teams, marketing, sales, fabrication teams, and suppliers, to achieve project goals.

    Maintain accurate product data and files, ensuring alignment with current specifications.
    Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and relevant regulations to uphold a high level of expertise.

    Job Requirements and Skills:
    High proficiency in CAD software.
    Bachelor's degree in Engineering (highly preferred).
    Demonstrated self-reliance in managing deadlines, timetables, and communication.
    Strong creative problem-solving skills with the ability to enhance designs and processes.
    Experience in product design
    Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar engineering role.
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
