JDP is seeking an FSQA Manager in Sioux City, IA area The qualified candidate will establish and implement FSQA programs

Responsibilities:
Responsible for effective management of FSQA technicians, FSQA Supervisors and NSIS in a Pork Harvesting (kill /cut) facility.
Develop, manage, train, and supervise all plant FSQA and NSIS hourly staff promoting both individual and team success.

Provide necessary technical resources to all department managers, report all quality deviations to appropriate facility personnelLeads and monitors the food safety and quality assurance programs.

Communicate with operations management, purchasing and /or raw material suppliers, regarding product quality deviations and supplier audit informationProvide guidance to supervisors regarding all product dispositions.

Investigate all quality complaints, document, and implement both corrective and preventative actions.

Perform and/or oversee HACCP and GMP audits of the process as well as employee training in these areas in conjunction with the HACCP manager.

Prioritize supervisory tasks regarding customer focus and USDA concerns.
Work with operations to ensure products on hold are released timely.

Ability to participate in cross-functional management teamsAct as USDA facility contactPrepare for and participate as needed in third party customer auditsDirect reports include: All FSQA Department Technicians, FSQA Supervisors and NSIS.Indirect reports may include Lab Technicians, Sanitation and Production labor force.

May at times fill in for Director of FSQA or FS Regulatory Manager.

Aid in R&D projects with quality issuesRequirements:
Bachelor's degree preferred4+ years experience in the meat industryPrevious management experience preferred
