Job Description

As a Security Officer - Badge Enrollment in Northampton, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor and vehicle check-ins, and conduct routine patrols to help support a secure environment. You will remain visible, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver standout customer service through clear communication. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Control access at entry points by checking identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs and verifying authorized access for employees, vendors and/or delivery drivers.
Coordinate with site personnel to manage inbound and outbound vehicle and trailer access, including verifying appointment information, directing traffic flow at gates and reporting irregular activity.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command.
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including docks, yard space and perimeter, and report conditions that may help to deter unauthorized entry and/or loss.

Minimum Requirements:

Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
