    Position Summary
    The University of New Mexico(UNM) School of Medicine Department of Dermatology seeks a skilled Board-certified/eligibleMohs Micrographic Surgeon-General Dermatologist. We serve a large, medicallycomplex population and function as the consultation source for the entire ruralstate of New Mexico (population 2.2 million). Many of our patients present withvery challenging pathology/skin malignancies and/or clinical context due tolack of access and other social determinants of health. Our Department providesexcellent high-quality care in general and pediatric dermatology, dermatologicsurgery/Mohs as well as phototherapy, laser, and aesthetic services. We havebuilt an exceedingly collaborative team of engaged and energetic faculty,residents, and staff, including our Veterans Affairs and Dermatopathologyfaculty colleagues. We have a strong and consistent partnership with Medical/SurgicalOncology (at our comprehensive NCI-designated Cancer Center), Otolaryngologyand Plastic Surgery, and community/referring dermatologists and primary careproviders throughout the state. Responsibilities include: outpatient Mohsmicrographic surgery, procedural and cutaneous oncology, general dermatology; weekend/callcoverage for Mohs surgery vs. general dermatology to be determined.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Medical Doctor or equivalent
    • Board eligible/certified in Dermatology
    • Completion of or on track to complete ACGME accredited fellowship in Mohs surgery
    • Eligible for medical licensure in NM
    • Eligible for State of New Mexico Board of Pharmacy certification and federal DEA registration
    • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

    • Demonstrated experience/excellence in teaching and mentoring learners of various backgrounds.
