- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of IT/development experience with 5 years of solution architecture experience preferred
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, programming languages, DevOps technologies, analytics technologies, and architecture modeling technologies
- Proficiency in POS and ERP systems, with a background in retail industry applications preferred
- Experience in Java and .NET programming languages preferred
- Strong experience with API development and testing
- Understanding of SOA, object-oriented analysis, design, and client/server systems
- Experience with agile methodologies and platform integration
- Prior experience working with protected data elements
- Proven success in complex, cross-functional projects
- Ability to lead large-scale initiatives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
- Experience managing indirect teams and collaborating with various stakeholders
- Excellent written, presentation, and oral communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and functional audiences
- Analyze project requirements and assess architectural implications
- Collaborate with business teams to devise solution options
- Lead the development of project solution designs, subject to Architecture Board review
- Produce and maintain detailed technical architecture artifacts
- Identify architectural risks and opportunities and ensure appropriate decisions are made
- Guide delivery efforts, addressing technical issues to ensure project success
- Manage and minimize technical debt
- Ensure designs enable predictable, on-time delivery and incorporate resilience and recoverability
