Seeking an Experienced General Superintendent for Building Water/Wastewater Treatment Plants in Charlotte
Our client, a leading construction company specializing in building water and wastewater treatment plants across the United States, is seeking an experienced General Superintendent to join their team in Charlotte.
They will oversee the construction and installation of water and wastewater treatment plants, ensuring that all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Construction Management.
They will have at least 10 years of hands-on experience as a superintendent overseeing, piping systems, and electrical equipment installation, alignment, testing, and commissioning.
The candidate must have extensive knowledge and understanding of relevant regulations related to water and wastewater treatment plant design and operations, including Virginia State Policies and Regulations.
Skills:
The successful candidate will need to have strong project management skills, with a demonstrated success at delivering complex infrastructure programs with a focus on cost control, schedule adherence, safety compliance, and maintaining quality standards.
They must also have proven leadership qualities, with the ability to lead direct reports through effective communication, collaboration, motivation, and performance feedback.
Interpersonal skills are essential for building good rapport between clients, vendors, trades, and the project owner's representative, interfacing closely with them throughout all phases from preconstruction till completion.
Good oral and written presentation competencies are necessary, enabling easy interaction among stakeholders (including subcontractors) and other members within cross-functional teams involved during the course of planning and execution phases.
