    Dynamic Leader in Finance and Operations Opportunity

    Our esteemed institution is currently seeking an experienced individual to serve as the Vice President of Finance and Operations (VPFO).

    Reporting directly to the President and serving on the President's Cabinet, the VPFO will play a pivotal role in maintaining fiscal integrity and operational excellence at our college.

    Key Responsibilities

    Financial Oversight:
    Provide visionary leadership in managing financial, facilities, safety and security, personnel, and informational systems efficiently.

    Budget Management:
    Collaborate in preparing and overseeing the College's annual budget, ensuring continuous monitoring and reporting.

    Compliance Assurance:
    Develop internal controls for finance activities, ensuring adherence to legal budget requirements.

    Sourcing and Contracting:
    Oversee procurement processes through competitive bids and investment of funds, reviewing contracts and ensuring accuracy and compliance.

    Strategic Partnerships:
    Work closely with the College President on construction projects, capital improvements, and other initiatives.

    Reporting and Audit:
    Prepare and submit precise financial reports, manage external audits, and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

    Departmental Supervision:
    Oversee various departments including Facilities, Police, Human Resources, and Informational Services.

    Legislative Monitoring:
    Stay up to date on legislative activities and provide advice to administrative staff as needed.

    Qualifications

    Leadership Skills:
    Demonstrated ability to lead personnel across multiple departments effectively.

    Financial Expertise:
    Proficiency in budget creation, management, and forecasting best practices.

    Operational Experience:
    Track record in advancing fiscal responsibility, personnel and technology enhancements, safety, and facility improvements.

    Knowledge Base:
    Familiarity with facility maintenance, public safety, human resources, and informational services.

    Analytical Skills:
    Strong data analysis abilities paired with strategic planning expertise.

    Adaptability:
    Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, student-centric environment.

    Communication:
    Excellent organizational and communication skills.

    Commitment:
    Dedication to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusivity.

    Collaboration:
    Experience working with executive leadership teams.

    Technical Skills:
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial information systems.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Education:
    Master of Business Administration with a focus on Finance, Accounting, or equivalent.

    Experience:
    Five (5) years as a successful financial manager.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Experience:
    Ten (10) years as a successful financial manager.

    Leadership Roles:
    Previous experience as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) or Assistant CFO in higher education.

    Certifications:
    Certified Public Accountant or equivalent certification.

    Software Proficiency:
    Experience with Ellucian or similar systems.

    Supervision:
    Leadership experience in Facilities and College Police departments.
