    Our Portland area client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team for a long-term contract position. This is a great opportunity to gain experience with a longstanding company that has an outstanding reputation in the healthcare industry

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Prepare monthly financial reporting packages.
    • Participate in presenting financial statements to board members and leadership.
    • Support audit requests and assist with financial statement preparation.
    • Prepare general ledger journal entries.
    • Monthly account reconciliations for complex accounts.
    • Review and analyze data to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
    • Perform trend and data analysis.
    • Support AP and cash activities, including reviewing and coding invoices.

    Requirements & Qualifications

    • 3+ years GAAP accounting experience in healthcare industry is required; public accounting or non-profit experience is a plus.
    • Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, similar field, or equivalent combination of education and experience; CPA is a plus.
    • Experience with regulatory reporting and analysis is highly preferred.
    • Ability to interpret complex data with strong research and analytical skills.
    • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Excel.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

    This hybrid position requires an occasional onsite presence in the Portland area - local or relocating candidates only, please.
