    Description


    The Diagnostics Infrastructure System Engineer gathers, rationalizes, negotiates, and then documents diagnostic requirements in a common format for usage by software/Calibration implementation teams, Electrical Development & Validation, Manufacturing Engineering, and Service Engineering.

    Activities include ownership of diagnostic specifications of intent, leading workgroup discussions to capture new requirements and deployment intent, consultation support for correct implementation, and debugging of issues along with other stakeholders.

    Writing requirements and leading workgroups for diagnostic specificationsDevelop test cases to improve requirement quality and enable quick feedback for agile implementation iterations.

    Support correct interpretation and implementation of diagnostic specifications with internal, Tier 1 and Tier 2 software engineers to consistently deploy GMs Diagnostic StrategySupport vehicle launches and debug issues working with cross-functional teams, including Service, Manufacturing, Active Safety, Infotainment and PowertrainEvaluate new concepts by analysis or prototyped implementation prior to deploymentEstablish and maintain a working knowledge of Diagnostic and AUTOSAR standards while also staying abreast of new technology and competitive productsRepresent General Motors interests in industry standard groupsTravel as required to support fulfillment of objectivesRequirements:Bachelors Degree in engineering, Math, Physics, or Computer Science3+ years of relevant diagnostic experienceKnowledge and experience with major diagnostic parameter elements including Data Identifies (DIDs), Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and Routine Identifiers (RIDs)In depth comprehension of corporate diagnostic strategies, UDS (ISO diagnostic requirements and AUTOSAR DCM and DEM interactions and configurations to enable proper definition of requirementsIn depth understanding of Diagnostic over Ethernet (DoIP) mechanisms and required configurations as per AUTOSAR UDSIn depth knowledge of DEXT and ODX templates and rules and how these files are used for Diagnostic Managers / DEM / DCM / FIM configurations in AUTOSARKnowledge of major automotive subsystems and electrical and electronic circuit operationAbility to coordinate and complete tasks per a release scheduleAbility to identify non-compliance to standards and resolve the issueHigh level of analytical ability where problems are unique and complexHigh level of interpersonal communication skills (written and oral)Able to work independently with high degree of initiative#J-18808-Ljbffr
