    We are looking for a Patient Access Specialist for our busy practice. We are looking for a candidate that enjoys a fast paced environment that has a patient first attitude. This position requires a high-level of customer service skills primarily via phone to include problem solving communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with computer applications. This position reports to the Scheduling and Intake Supervisor.

    This position is located in our Brighton, CO office, but can also be remote or a combination of the two with approval from the Supervisor.

    Primary Job Duties:

    • Handling a high volume of calls answering patient and provider office questions and obtaining needed information from providers and patients.
    • Communicating detailed information and answer patients' questions regarding procedures, appointments, and equipment.
    • Reaching out to new patients to provide them registration documents for completion.
    • Processing returned registration paperwork, consents, upload to charts/create charts if necessary etc.
    • Scheduling sleep studies and office visits as requested.
    • Working other clerical duties such as scanning, helping with sleep study questionnaires etc.
    • Other duties as assigned

    Required Qualifications & Abilities:

    • 1-3 years Medical Office Experience
    • Customer service experience in healthcare settings
    • Attention to detail updating patient demographics, insurance, and any other patient details.
    • Ability to deescalate as needed
    • The ability to work both independently and as a team member.
    • Ability to handle both incoming and outgoing calls in a professional manner at all times.
    • Excellent customer service skills to include both verbal and written.
    • Demonstrate self-motivation, self-direction, organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to deal with any level of stress in a professional manner.
    • Strong typing and computer skills.
    • Clerical experience
    • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience scheduling procedures
    • 4+ years medical experience
    • Lab Retriever & Azalea EMR experience
    • Experience using Digium phone system
    • Sleep Medicine Experience
    • Understanding of Insurance- how to explain to patients

    Education:

    • High School or Equivalent

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $ $20.00 per hour
