Description
Job Summary:
The West Conference Services Coordinator plans, executes, and provides leadership for all day to day internal and external events at west campus, including LCC graduations, in conference rooms as well as nontraditional event spaces. This position maintains a variety of relationships including internal event planners and the event logistics team, both in various departments across campus as well as a variety of external and community partners. The Coordinator is responsible for responding to event inquiries, executing event contracts, coordinating event logistics according to various department's deadlines, submitting work request, event execution, etc. The Coordinator also works closely with the event planner and our external catering partners to coordinate menus and generate accurate catering quotes. The Coordinator focuses on ensuring successful Star Standard events and maintains our standard operating procedures at all times. This position requires exceptional customer service skills, professionalism, the ability to think critically and respond to stressful situations effectively with diplomacy. This position requires a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays. This position reports to the Conference Services Manager.
Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant industry or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Significant work experience in the event industry
Demonstrated leadership experience
Demonstrated customer service experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) and Certified Tourism Ambassador (CTA) certifications
One (1) or more years of managerial/supervisory experience in a relevant industry
