These full time permanent positions can be located out of -

Madison, Eau Claire, Superior, Waukesha, Rhinelander, Green Bay, La Crosse, or Wisconsin Rapids.

Position Summary
Civil Engineer Transportation Senior or Advanced - Statewide Utility Coordination (1 vacancy)

This position performs as the program facilitator and is the primary technical resource within the Bureau of Technical Services (BTS) for the oversight of the Utility Coordination program from a statewide perspective.

Civil Engineer Transportation Senior or Advanced - Utility Coordination Design and Construction (2 Vacancies)

These positions perform as the program facilitator and is the primary technical resource for highway construction or design focusing on utility facility placement on roadway facilities that the department is responsible for.

Salary Information
The

Senior

level position is in schedule-range with an

annual salary of $79,269 - $97,448

depending upon qualifications and experience.
The

Advanced

level position is in schedule-range with an

annual salary of $88,296 - $106,808,

plus an additional

$2,080/yea r for the Professional Engineer license.
All positions have excellent benefits. A twelve month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.

Qualifications
A minimally qualified applicant at the SENIOR level will have the following:
Upon application, candidate must have graduated from an ABET accredited program with a 4-year degree (or Master's or Ph.

D.) in civil engineering or a related engineering field OR possess a PE license (registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Wisconsin) OR possess an EIT (Engineer-in-Training) license OR have documentation from the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services that deems the individual a professional engineer and qualified to engage in professional engineering practices.

At least 4 years of professional engineering experience in design, construction or maintenance or transportation projects.
Additionally, a qualified candidate at the ADVANCED level will have:
A valid Professional Engineering registration and be able to obtain a Wisconsin PE registration within 3 months if the PE registration is from another state
